Digital Marketing Strategy
I keep my finger on the pulse of digital marketing strategy. New enterprise solutions are emerging every day alongside hordes of specialized marketing tools. With so many new options, it can be hard to know what will make a difference and what’s quicksand to progress. I can help you avoid the quicksand by drawing on industry experience and a passion for solving problems.
I use a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to drive high-quality insights. During my graduate work, I oversaw a big, grant-funded project on the ways taxpayer dollars have gone to poets and poetry publishers. I outlined who received funds, to what end, and to what effect. The world is a big place, and money is a big topic, so I focused on a few specific places: Ireland, Jamaica, Nigeria, the U.S., and the U.K.
In the world of applied research, I’ve crafted a range of marketing research to facilitate product and marketplace insights. I’ve crafted things like surveys, interview guides, and persona development datasets, just for a few examples. My training and experience encompass everything from qualitative UX analysis via user observation to complex market sizing and segmentation. Need to figure something out? The knottier the problem, the better.
I’ve been writing creatively since I was young and professionally for the last ten years. By working with a range of clients, from institutions of higher education and arts councils to e-commerce and digital communications, I’ve become skilled at the craft. I enjoy writing and editing for a range of audiences—from general to specialist to technical. I sometimes compose on an old Smith-Corona manual typewriter when I need to get a new perspective and step away from the screens.
Send me a line to ask a question or schedule a meeting. I live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota where I shovel snow in the winter and enjoy the lakes, running trails, and grilling in the summer. I’m always available to meet in person but am equally eager to collaborate digitally.
